ERICACEAE

A favorite group of plants for Mrs. Miller consisted of select members of the Rhododendron and heather family, the Ericaceae. Many of these choice collector plants can be a challenge for even the most experienced gardener, by their requirement for very specific cultivation practices, the rewards for which are charming flowers and colorful fruit. The Miller Garden contains a number of the best Rhododendron species for the Pacific Northwest along with a number of Gaultheria, Vaccinium and other smaller members of this family.
